Strategic Plan
The LUHS District is in the process of developing a strategic plan to guide our work in the years ahead. This plan will help establish a shared vision, set clear priorities, and ensure our decisions continue to support student success and staff growth.
At its core, a strategic plan is a clear, long term roadmap that outlines our goals, priorities, and direction for the future. It clarifies what we want to achieve, why those goals matter, and how we will work together to accomplish them while supporting continuous improvement and shared accountability.
The strategic planning process is structured to be collaborative and thoughtful, bringing together perspectives from staff, families, students, and the broader community.

Strategic Plan Task Force Meeting #2:
On February 18, 2026, we hosted our second Task Force meeting for the Lakeland Strategic Plan. The meeting included high-level conversation and an engaged group throughout the evening. If you have any questions regarding the Strategic Plan, please feel free to contact a member of the Task Force.
There has been excellent input from the stakeholders who have been present, both internal and external. Community members have continued to participate and remain engaged throughout the process.
Strategic Plan Task Force Meeting #1:
The first Lakeland Union Strategic Plan Task Force meeting took place on January 26th, 2026, at LUHS and was filled with energy and meaningful discussion. Approximately 40 participants attended, including community members, students, staff from LUHS and STAR School, and members of the LUHS Board of Education.
The group spent the majority of time discussing District strengths, challenges, and educational program, activity, and facility changes that may be needed in the future. The notes from these discussions will inform the creation of themes identified for consideration at the next meeting. Overall, the evening reflected a high level of engagement and valuable feedback.
The next Lakeland Union Strategic Planning Task Force event will be held on February 18th, 2026.
