The Lakeland Union High School Board of Education, at its meeting held on September 5, 2024 approved Dr. Steven Kolden by unanimous vote to serve as the interim District Administrator for the Lakeland Union High School District beginning September 6, 2024.

Dr. Kolden brings to the district a long history of professional and leadership experiences and accomplishments.  He retired from the school district of Colby in 2023 where he served as the district administrator for 13 years (2010-2023). Prior to that he served in the School District of Menomonie as a principal for variety of school buildings (1998-2010). Dr. Kolden is an advocate for policy and also works as a policy consultant for NEOLA.       

Dr. Kolden holds a Doctorate of Educational Administration and several administrative licenses.
