Required Forms:
The following forms must be completed and filed on time in order for your name to be placed on the school district official ballot for the February 17, 2026 Spring Primary (if needed) and the April 7, 2026 Spring Election. Due to size limits for LUHS district townships; you are NOT required to circulate nomination papers to have your name placed on the ballot.
All school board candidates must:
1. Complete and submit the Campaign Registration Statement (Form CF-1) to the filing officer prior to raising or spending any funds, and no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 or the candidate’s name will not be placed on the ballot. If the form is faxed or emailed, the original document must follow postmarked no later than January 6, 2026. Wis. Stat. §§ 8.10(5), 8.30(2), Wis. Admin. Code EL § 6.04.
2. Complete and Submit a Declaration of Candidacy (Form EL-162sd) to the LUHS District Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 or the candidate’s name will not be placed on the ballot. If the form is faxed or emailed, the original document must follow, postmarked no later than January 6, 2026. Wis. Stat. §§ 8.10(5), 8.21, 8.30(4), Wis. Admin. Code EL § 6.04**
**You must specify which seat you are running for on the Declaration of Candidacy form. Include either AT LARGE SEAT or MINOCQUA J1 AREA SEAT. If you are eligible and wish to run for both an area and at large seat, you must file a Declaration of Candidacy and Campaign Registration Statement form for each seat. The Campaign Registration Statement and the Declaration of Candidacy form must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026 in the District Office located at Lakeland Union High School, 9573 State Hwy 70, Minocqua, WI 54548.
Holiday Office Hours:
The District Office will be closed from December 22-January 2 for Christmas & New Years Break. The District Office will reopen on January 5, 2026.
