LUHS Fall Sports Protocol
Dear Lakeland Parents/Guardians, Student-Athletes, and Fans,

Welcome to the 2020 Fall Sports season! The GNC AD’s met for two hours Friday morning to vote on some items as it pertains to officials and contest management.  Along with that, we have some new protocol that needs to be created in order to keep our student-athletes, officials, coaches, and fans safe and in the know!  The following are some key items you need to be aware of:

Attendance at Lakeland Athletics when we are at home as of 9/15/20.  These parameters are subject to change at any time.

Football and Soccer: Each student/athlete will receive (4) four ticket vouchers to distribute to persons of their choice. Only persons who possess a ticket voucher will be allowed in the gate. Also, when in bleachers you are required to be socially distanced and masked. Fans will be permitted to bring chairs and spread out across the entire complex.  Additional porta-potties and hand washing stations will be provided on the visiting team side.  More information will be provided leading up to our first home Football game on 10/02/20.

Cross Country: Events have already started and our fans have done a great job.

Volleyball:  Parents/guardians of the volleyball players will be given 4 vouchers for home volleyball events.  Those vouchers will be used for you to gain access to the building on the nights we host. Masks will be required per State Order for those attending any indoor event.

Entrance Fees:
We will not be collecting entry fees this season at LUHS.

Away games:
Every school WILL be different!  How the contest managers have things set up will be per their school district policy with input from their County Health Departments.  Please be patient and kind when attending away games, I have witnessed a great deal of concern and efforts being put in by all schools to coordinate these events.  The GNC AD’s have created a Google Sheet that will have “up to the minute” information.  We will keep that Sheet shared to our social media and you will always be able to find it at  That form will let you know about fan capacity, entrance fees, masking requirements and concession availability.
As you will see on the above reference Google Sheet, some schools will be restricting attendance to events in different ways than Lakeland.  If the host school has a limit of “4” for fan capacity, any numbered voucher will grant you entrance. If the host school has a limit of “2” for fan capacity, you will only be granted access with the vouchers that are labeled for your sport and level (VAR/JV/JV2) with a “1” and a “2” on it.  Once again, the Vouchers will be distributed to the Head Coaches and given to each player.

Thank you for taking the time to read through this document.  I will do my best to answer questions that you have as we work through these unique times in High School sports!
