LUHS After-School Academic Support 2020-21

In an effort to provide additional support and student connection, Lakeland Union High School is offering an after-school tutoring opportunity for the 2020-21 school year.  All students will have the ability to receive extra help from a group of teachers in the core subject areas (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) from 3:45 to 5:45 throughout the week when school is in session.  Students may attend these sessions in person in the LMC or connect remotely through a corresponding Google Classroom.  We encourage all students to join each of the Google Classrooms below.  The Google Meeting links for each of the classes will be displayed after you join the class.  

Overview

 

WHO: Any student in need of academic support in the core subject areas of English/Language Arts, Math, Science, or Social Studies.

 

WHAT: Teacher support to address academic struggles, answer basic questions, and increase student/teacher communication

 

WHEN: 3:45 to 5:45pm most nights after school (days listed below)

 

WHERE: In-person in the LMC or via GoogleMeet in the links provided

 

WHY: To provide additional opportunities for students to be supported by their classroom teachers and increase academic engagement beyond the general instructional hours


HOW: Teachers will be available to work with students with reteaching and strengthening instructional concepts, specific homework related help, expanding learning opportunities, and much more.
