Sec. 41-35. - Truancy
 

(a) The provisions of Wis. Stats. § 118.163(1m), pertaining to a pupil who is absent from school without an acceptable excuse under Wis. Stats. § 118.15, and the available dispositions to the court under Wis. Stats. § 118.163(1m), for a child who has been determined to be truant are hereby adopted and by reference made a part of this section as if fully set forth herein.

(b) For the first violation a forfeiture up to $50.00 plus costs shall be assessed.

(c) A forfeiture up to $100.00 plus costs for any second or subsequent violation within 12 months of a previous violation shall be assessed subject to a maximum cumulative forfeiture amount of not more than $500.00 for all violations committed during a school semester.

All or part of the forfeiture may be assessed against the pupil, the parents or guardian of the person or both.

The provisions of Wis. Stats. § 118.163, pertaining to a pupil who is absent from school without an acceptable excuse under Wis. Stats. § 118.15, and the available dispositions to the court under Wis. Stats. §§ 118.163(2)(a) through (k), for a child who has been determined to be a habitual truant are hereby adopted and by reference made a part of this section as if fully set forth herein. Any act required to be performed or prohibited by Wis. Stats. § 118.163, is required or prohibited by this section. All available sanctions provided in Wis. Stats. Ch. 938, are hereby adopted and by reference made a part of this section as if fully set forth herein.
