First, thank you for attending the Highlander XC Invitational.
A couple of things to note:
Entries are due Wednesday by 11:59pm at www.pttiming.com
The course has been changed. The big hill loop has about 100 meters of the loop under repair - basically it has been reseeded. We are not allowed through there. The course will now be a two loop course. The first mile is the same but as you approach the big hill you take a left (what the second loop in the past would do) and head back and go all the way back to the start area. Then repeat the loop. I attached a map that I hope will help.
Parking: The lot closest to the pavilion (see map) is only for buses and team vans. All other vehicles must park at the shuttle bus pick up area. We will have two buses running shuttles and plenty of signage. Please let your parents know so they allow for plenty of extra time so they don't miss their kids race.
We once again will have delicous Johnny Pops ice cream bars for the kids. Once they finish each athlete is allowed one.
No bibs this year.
We will have chip timing and mats (for splits) at the mile and two mile markers. I owe Coach Claussen thanks for making the second chip mat happen. We will also have the nice results board from PT Timing.
1K-4K will be marked as well as miles 1, 2, and 3.
Top 25 in the varsity races will receive a Highlander medal and the top ten will also receive a Highlander Bobblehead. The top 25 in the JV races will receive a ribbon. The top two team in varsity and JV will receive a trophy.
We have technical running shirts available for $15.00 and a few from last year for $7.00.
We will also have concessions available. The athletic trainer will be in this area.
We are honored to have the following teams attending:
Brookfield Central, Cedar-Grove Belgium, Cerdarburg, Divine Saviors Holy Angels, Franklin, Grafton, Hamilton, Hartford Union, Lakeland Union, Menomonee Falls, Shorewood, University School of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Lutheran, Homestead (Host School).
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call or email.
Thank you and safe travels!
