Preliminary Information for 2017 Team Building Weekend - Info and Packing List

Welcome to Lakeland Nordic Ski Team (LNST) 2017!       

 

Nov 3-5, Weekend Team Building! Red Crown Lodge, 3852 US-51, Arbor Vitae,

Activities for all team members. Training, Learning, Fun...Nov 4, Special presentation by US Ski Team Developmental Coach Bryan Fish.

 

Have you grown taller since last year? Ski Fit/Equipment Check to be done at Team Weekend.  Bring both technique skis and poles.  Kick zones will be checked and marked.  Ski flex and pole length to be checked.  

   

 

Nov 3-5 Team Building Schedule (Tentative)

 

Friday, Nov 3

4:30-5 pm   Arrive

4:30-6:00  Ski fit, Equipment check, Rollerski  tip sharpening, Game-Capture the Flag

6:00-7:00pm    Dinner and cleanup

7:00-8:30pm    team Buliding Activity/Goal Setting/ Nutrition

8:30-10:00pm  Captain's activities

10:15 Room Check

10:30  Lights out

 

Saturday, Nov 4 

7:30-8:00     Morning Mobility

8:00-9:00     Breakfast/cleanup

9:15-9:45    Ski Technique Video in conference room

9:45-10   Run/walk/hike to Trout Lake Golf Course

10:00 - 11:30 Bryan fish USST coach, Active session with Q&A

12-1:00 Lunch/Clean up/ Bryan meeting with coaches

1-2 Open/social/free time

2-3:30 Outdoor session/roller ski/others dryland 
4-5 Activities with Azael

5:00-6:00    Dinner/clean-up

6:30-7:30    Review goal setting Q/A,  individual athlete goal review
7:30-9 Captains activities
9-10 Ice Cream / Social time
10:15 Room check 10:30 Lights out

 

 

Sunday, Nov 5 (daylight savings time change)

7:00-7:30   Morning mobility.    

7:30-8:15   Breakfast/cleanup.  

8:30-10:00 Dryland training/Sticks/CT bands/half logs

10:00-10:30 Pack / Clean / Room Check

10:30-11:00 Game / Depart

Training Clothes

Jacket for training

Toiletries

PJ’s

Hat

Gloves

Water Bottle

Water Bottle carrier if you have one

Casual Clothes

Socks/underwear

Extra Socks

Rain Gear/Warm clothes dependent on forecast

Training shoes/Running Shoes/ shoe dryer if you have one

Black Half Log and Mini Band

Short Ski Poles for bounding if you have them

Roller Skis/Boots/Helmet/Poles for those who have them

Classic Skis, Skate Skis, Both technique poles, -for ski fit check, if you have them
Headlamp may be useful.

Optional: appropriate movies/games/cards to share

 

Snacks are on your own.
