Foundations of Physical Fitness

Freshman Level Introductory PE Class
1 Semester/.5 Credits

The emphasis of this course is on building a solid fitness foundation. In this class you will learn the Five Components of Fitness and how to exercise within a target heart rate zone. Students will also learn the fundamentals and techniques needed to use our weight and cardio rooms. Students will develop individual sports skills as well as enhance their team building concepts. Students will participate in activities such as ultimate frisbee, volleyball, hand soccer, flickerball, swimming, climbing, problem solving games, and badminton.
