Mr. Way and his wife (Susan) grew up in Chippewa Falls, WI where they went to high school together.  Mr. Way has been in the educational field for 25 years.  He taught at Manawa, WI and Minocqua, WI. He has taught high school Biology and middle school Broadfield Science and has coached Track and Field, Volleyball and Hockey.

Mr. and Mrs. Way have been married for 26 years and have two grown children, Anthony and Bryan. He is active in his community serving as catechist, music minister and playing trumpet in the community band.  He enjoys his free time in nature, reading, playing music, traveling and spending quality time with his family.

After receiving degrees (B.S.) in Biology and Broadfield Science Education; (M.S.E.) in Curriculum and Instruction; (Ed.S) in Educational Leadership, Mr. Way has been a K-8 principal at MHLT Elementary District in Minocqua WI for 8 years.  He is in his 4th year as Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment/ Pupil Services at Lakeland Union High School.

His philosophy in Education is centered around joyful, rich learning. “It is our mission to tap into every students’ and teachers natural curiosity to construct meaning and purpose.  If we neglect to do this, we fall short of reaching excellence for all.”  Mr. Way has a passion for creating a culture of excellence that promotes meaning and value for all diverse students and teachers.
