“B” or better in Chemistry or “C” or better in Honors Chemistry


What you will learn in this course:
 
The first portion of this course will be spent reviewing critical components of first year chemistry.  The second portion will be spent on advanced topics including qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, equilibrium, thermodynamics, electron orbital hybridization, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, and molecular structure.  Emphasis will be on higher-level problem solving and correct format of lab write-up.

In this course you will use labs, discussion and lecture to explore the topics of this course.  
 
Why this course is important : 
It is intended for those students that intend to major in any area of science in college.  Students will develop a deeper understanding of critical chemistry topics that will contribute greatly to their success in future courses in science.
