What you will learn in this course :
This course is designed to be the equivalent of a college introductory biology course usually taken by biology majors during their first year.  It aims to provide students with the conceptual framework, factual knowledge and analytical skills necessary to deal critically with the rapidly changing science of biology.  The course requires a double period to allow time for the completion of the vast amount of material and the laboratory work necessary. 
 
How you will learn in this course :
The course is taught through text, chapter summary review sheets, lectures, discussion and completion of the 12 required AP Labs as well as additional labs.
 
Why this course is important :  
This is a college prep course intended for students considering going into any science-related field.  Students that complete this course will be prepared to take the AP Biology exam.
