COURSE: 06421 PRECALCULUS CREDIT VALUE: One credit
* 06422 PREREQUISITES: Advanced Algebra with grade of “C” or better both semesters
What you will learn in this course:
This is a full year course that extends the study of linear, quadratic, polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic functions from advanced algebra. Strong attention is given to the study of trigonometry, including: the unit circle, graphing trigonometric functions, solving trigonometric equations, inverse trigonometric functions, verifying trigonometric identities and applications of trigonometry.
How you will learn in this course:
The basic driver of this course will be the precalculus textbook. The students will learn through lecture, discussion, homework problem sets and assessments.
Why this course is important:
This course will provide the transition from advanced algebra to the study of calculus as well as providing the students with a strong foundation in trigonometry.
