What you will learn in this course:
Students work through and discover the following topics:  First degree equations and inequalities, quadratic, polynomial, and radical equations and inequalities, advanced functions and relations, and discrete mathematics.  Along with these topics students will further develop their problem solving skills and ability to interpret, organize and solve more challenging problems. 
How you will learn in this course:
Students will learn through personal exploration of topics.  Instruction will be given and then students will develop their skills through daily homework and teacher assessment.  Students will be further assessed with chapter tests and quizzes.
Why this course is important:
This course is a crucial stepping-stone to college entrance. Successful completion of advanced algebra is required for most 4 year colleges.  Advanced algebra will teach students how to solve more rigorous problems through hard work and self evaluation.
