LUHS LIBRARY MEDIA PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY, VISION, & MISSION
The LUHS School Library Media Program is engaging and relevant to the student’s life. It serves both students and staff, empowering all through the access to resources and developing a synergistic network of teachers, students, and other staff. The school library media program supports student-centered learning and strategic inquiry in a safe and friendly environment which prepares students for life in the 21st century global village.
The LUHS School Library Media Program is the vital hub of an inquiry based education. It acts as a catalyst between students, staff, and the process of accessing, gathering, and evaluating information. The SLMP engages students and encourages critical thinking and collaboration in a safe and inviting atmosphere in order to prepare students for life in the 21st century.
The LUHS School Library Media Program mission is to foster the spirit of inquiry and, in doing so, help both students and staff learn and appreciate the ever-changing role of technology as a meaningful tool of accessing and using information.
