Dear Members of the Lakeland Union High School Communities,

It is with great pleasure and honor to serve as the Superintendent of the Lakeland Union High School District, home of Lakeland Union High School and STAR Academy. As a community minded Minocqua resident and a proud Lakeland Area Consortium Educator for the past years 27 years (Science Teacher, Principal, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Director of Pupil Services and Superintendent), I have seen the positive impacts of our school district firsthand. I know this is a reflection of our Mission Statement, “We are dedicated to creating a safe, stimulating environment where all students may acquire the knowledge, skills, and ability to pursue academic, vocational and personal excellence.” I value strong relationships with our Lakeland Area Consortium Schools, including AVW, LDF, MHLT, NLES.

We have outstanding curriculum and instruction in place, and I look forward to working collaboratively with our Board of Education forging strong strategic improvement processes and facilities improvement plans. We are here to serve you! I believe that building strong partnerships is essential for all of us so that we feel empowered to openly share our experiences, which will take us on a journey of continuous improvement. Our diversity is our strength! I believe developing social and emotional competence is as important as developing academic competence.

I am excited to continue building positive relationships with all of you. I look forward to partnering with the board, administration, faculty, staff, students, families and community members on our journey together.
